Water Heating Technologies On-Demand Water Heating TypeOn-demand type heats water in realtime. Benefit of On-Demand type is an unlimited continuous warm water supply and lower manufacturing cost. However, dedicated circuit breaker may be required to handle the relatively higher load needed to heat the water. Average power consumption for On-Demand type is 1200 to 1800 Watts. On-demand water heater does not supply water instantly. As it circulates incoming wtaer through the activated exchanger, it takes time to initiate the heat exchange and circulate water, often there is 5 to 10 seconds delay.
