Learn More About Bidet Attachments

A bidet attachment is a non-electric bidet that fits directly underneath your existing toilet seat. You may also have a handheld bidet sprayer, which connects to your toilet’s plumbing and typically hangs on an installed hook next to your toilet. Bidet Sprayers are installed the same way bidet attachments are, except it hangs on a hook instead of sitting underneath your toilet seat.

How to Install Your Bidet Attachment

There's no need for a plumber to install a bidet attachment or bidet sprayer. Check out the easy-to-follow video for a step-by-step guide on how to install a bidet attachment. How to Use Your Bidet Attachment

Whether you’re using a bidet attachment or an all-in-one bidet toilet, it’s not difficult to correctly position yourself onto the bidet. Bidet attachments, like the Slim Glow, are designed to let you sit naturally on a toilet seat, do your business and then properly clean yourself by turning a knob.

While more of a squatting position lets the nozzle spray the most important parts of your backside after going to the bathroom, it’s not a requirement.

When water runs through the unit, the nozzle extends to a full cleaning position. When the water stops, it returns to its hidden position. The attachment is designed for pinpoint cleaning, so you don’t have to worry about water spraying on your legs or thighs. The same holds true for bidet attachments that include an additional feminine wash nozzle.

It takes about 20 to 30 seconds of spraying to properly clean your posterior.

Bidet Attachment Settings and Features.

When it comes to features and settings, bidet attachments are more basic than all-in-one bidet toilets and bidet toilet seats, but they can still offer a tailored cleaning experience.

The BB-270 Duo features a temperature-control knob, nozzle selector for a posterior or feminine wash, and a pressure setting knob to adjust the water pressure to a level you’re comfortable with.

Bio Bidet’s most economical bidet attachment, the SlimEdge, doesn’t offer temperature control but does feature adjustable water pressure by turning the knob from left to right.

Whichever attachment you've chosen, one constant is the adjustable water pressure. The farther you turn the knob, the higher the water pressure will be. This makes each wash easy to customize to your needs.

How To Use Your Bidet Toilet Seat

The most basic bidet toilet seats don’t require electricity (such as the Slim Zero). Instead, the bidet is powered by water pressure from the bathroom’s water supply. It activates when a knob is turned, releasing the water into the bidet. As the water travels through the system, a nozzle protrudes from the bidet and sprays a controlled water stream on your posterior. Once the water is cut off via the knob, the nozzle recedes back into the bidet, hidden from sight.

Some more advanced bidet seats require electricity and come with either a side control panel, or a wireless remote to adjust the settings. At the touch of a button, you can activate a wash cycle and adjust the nozzle position or water pressure to your needs.

Bidet Toilet Seat Settings and Features

Higher-end bidet seats that require electricity also have some convenient and luxury features. These include options like warm water, an adjustable heated seat, a warm air dryer, an auto open/close seat and lid, and even UV sterilization to make sure every wash is as clean as it can be. Each bidet seat comes with a helpful manual and quick guide that can walk you through your bidet seat's features and how operate them.

How to Use Your Bidet Toilet

At the touch of a button, bidet toilets activate a water-spraying posterior- or feminine-washing nozzle. After the wash, which lasts for about 20 seconds, it automatically rinses off the nozzle and retreats into the unit. The digital toilets provide ultimate comfort, and an eco-friendly automatic flush feature.

Bidet Toilet Features and Settings
